Phillipo Corsini came from Italy to London in 1559 and within 10 years he was the largest importer in England of European goods, as well as being a substantial exporter. In 1579 he was joined by his younger brother Bartholomew. They operated their business on Gratious Street (later renamed Gracechurch Street) in London.
